MCT India - Furnishing a Mobile Asset Management Solution for Centralised View of Operations

CIO Vendor Developing a product, or delivering a service for a market, organizations must constantly track, access and manage a wide range of physical, technology and human assets. The biggest challenge faced by asset-intensive industries today is effective management of all assets, without creating a management workload. To further complicate matters, technology infrastructures are tremendously complex, typically running applications and data in silos that can limit the effectiveness of cross-organizational operations and efficiencies. Integrating complex business solutions by implementing EAM to empower client organizations to achieve optimum utilization of their assets, thus converting their Maintenance cost centres into profits centres is MCT India Infotech, headquartered in New Delhi.

Incepted in 2000, to furnish services for various Datastream (now Infor) offices globally, MCT started accomplishing EAM solutions in 2007. The firm also extended portfolio to include IBM Maximo and also became alliance partner of Infor in India. However, the implementations carried out for logistics and shipping companies in India and facility management implementations in Middle-east,marked the beginning of MCT’s success triumph.

Enabling EAM for Various Industries.
A leading manufacturer of power transmission belts in USA that employs over 15,000 people across 30 countries was using bespoke software for Maintenance and Repair operations for all 10 facilities. However, with all units using separate IT systems, getting reports on centralized level was a tiresome task. MCT conducted a business requirement session and post thorough solution survey analysis, suggested Infor EAM solution. The solution improved client’s inventory levels and maintenance team performance with comparatively less downtime of critical assets. “Used by 300 users at 10+ manufacturing facilities, Infor EAM integrates with systems like Oracle ERP and Vending machines to endow standardized and centralized view of processes.” states Sachin Gupta, Director, MCT India.
To improve traceability of critical assets and improve response time of BMETs ensuring serviceability of medical devices; MCT offers an Asset Management solution for hospitals (based on Infor EAM). The solution is embedded with fully integrated Real Time Tracking capabilities for mobile assets and mobile app for performing all major activities. The mobile and RTLS solution- ‘Symphony’ is used by hospitals to track medical equipment, locate staff and even prevent thefts.
MCT also offers Maximo, A asolution for tracking complete asset life cycle including breakdowns and costs, Maximoand analyses asset history to take appropriate call on asset repairs or replacements, thus extending equipment life. Adding to the list of offerings is Cognos, a BI reporting tool by IBM that yields pixel perfect reports to create user driven desktop analysis and visualization, without sacrificing enterprise BI strategy or settling for a compartmentalized solution.

As EAM moves towards cloud on a global level, organizations seek inclusion of asset criticality in maintenance matrix to make integration with other applications easy. MCT combines its experience in Mobile/RTLS extensions and cloud solutions to uniquely place itself to not only ride but lead the wave of EAM innovation. Moreover, currently serving Power, Healthcare, Manufacturing, Logistics and Shipping industries; MCT looks forward at extending its services to more verticals in near future.
